“The event will be her biggest gig yet, an unforgettable concert in one of the world’s most beautiful settings. The show will be free of charge as a thank you to her fans for celebrating more than four decades of her music over the course of the epic global run of the tour,” reads the statement on Madonna’s official website.
The statement also explains that the entrance will be applied on a first come first serve basis on May 4 at Belmond Copacabana Palace Hotel. The concert will be broadcast live on TV Globo and it will mark the grand finale of her ongoing retrospective The Celebration Tour.

As the video progresses, we watch The Weeknd, Madonna, and Playboi Carti living their best lives, enjoying their own luxe spaces, while delivering their verses.
“Popular” had a pretty complicated rollout long before its lavish music video hit the shelves. It was initially meant to be released as a part of the soundtrack of The Weeknd’s HBO series The Idol. He even told Zane Lowe that Madonna was “the ultimate co-sign for this song, for this album, and for this TV show” because she’s the ultimate pop star.
“Popular” was eventually released on June 2, 2023, on the deluxe edition of the Weeknd’s greatest hits album The Highlights. It managed to hit the top ten in several countries around the world, including the UK, Canada, and Australia.

Later, during the show, Madonna addressed her mishap.
“Are you guys mad at me ’cause I said ‘Hello, Boston!’?” the “Vogue” singer said at one point. “That would be like if you guys were saying, ‘Hey, Lady Gaga’s playing tonight!’… I wouldn’t like that. I mean, you know, nothing against Lady Gaga. Love her. I do! I love anyone shorter than me.”
After two shows in Toronto, Madonna is also scheduled to perform two dates in Montreal. She then returns to the United States for a series of shows that include stops in New York City, Philadelphia, and Seattle.
Madonna officially announced The Celebration Tour in early 2023 with plans to perform 35 dates across the world as a way to celebrate 40 years of her career. Due to overwhelming demand, the tour saw multiple additional shows added in cities like London, New York City, and Inglewood. The tour is currently set to wrap up with a five-date run in Mexico City, Mexico, in April 2024.

]]>Madonna’s musical director Stuart Price set down with BBC News to drop hints about the singer’s 40th anniversary tour. He revealed fans can expect to hear around 40 songs, and said the live band won’t be a part of this tour because they decided to fully embrace the magic of the the original multi-track recordings instead.
“With Madonna, everything is always about recontextualizing stuff, finding ways to take strong original messages and see how they resonate in the era that we’re in now. A lot of the powerful moments are to do with where the music intersects with something that society was going through,” explained Price.
After postponing the North American leg of the tour due to illness, Madonna is officially kicking off her tour with a concert at London’s O2 Arena on October 14. Many A-list guests are expected to join her along the way, including Diplo, Judd Apatow, Jack Black, Lil Wayne, Bob the Drag Queen, Kate Berlant, Larry Owens, Megan Stalter, Eric André, and Amy Schumer.

Madonna thanked fans for support in an emotional statement on social media and said she’s looking forward to going back to touring because she doesn’t want to disappoint anyone.
“My focus now is my health and getting stronger and I assure you, I’ll be back with you as soon as I can! The current plan is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour and to begin in October in Europe. I couldn’t be more grateful for your care and support,” she wrote on social media.
She eventually decided to stick to this plan, and the European leg of The Celebration Tour is still expected to kick off with four concerts in London this October. She’ll tour all over Europe this fall, before opening the North American leg in New York City on December 13.

]]>This week marked the arrival of two of the most anticipated albums to hit the shelves this month: Janelle Monáe’s The Age of Pleasure and Niall Horan’s The Show. Both albums gave us a bunch of amazing new songs and ended up making it to our list.
This week has been pretty amazing for Latin music, and we’ve seen several of our favorite artists surprise us with new songs. Maluma is ready to welcome summer with the catchy new track “Coco Loco”, while Rosalía is making waves with the new single “Tuya”, which perfectly blends together reggaeton, Japanese instruments, and flamenco.
Our list for this week also features two songs that we’ve been waiting for a while. BTS celebrated their tenth anniversary with the new single “Take Two”, while Sam Smith and Madonna finally unveiled their highly-anticipated collaboration “Vulgar”.
Our list also features the likes of Shawn Mendes, Thirty Seconds To Mars, and PinkPantheress, so stick around and pick your favorite new song.

]]>The duo previously teased this catchy track on social media under the allies S&M, and “Vulgar” proved to be everything we’ve expected from it—and more! The song’s lyrics see the duo hyping each other up, while also celebrating their own sensuality.
Madonna recently introduced Smith on stage at the Grammy Awards, where the English singer delivered a headline-making performance of the smash hit “Unholy” alongside Kim Petras. Smith later shared a photo of hanging out with Madonna backstage, and captioned it by writing, “Overwhelmed, grateful, and inspired. Thank you for your love and support. I’ll never forget your kindness,” wrote Smith at the time.
The duo obviously hit it off and they started teasing their collaboration in May when they shared cover art that shows them posing in black and white corsets before posting a 15-second teaser of the track.
“Vulgar” isn’t Madonna’s only epic collaboration to hit the shelves this month. Just last week, she teamed up with The Weeknd and Playboi Carti for“Popular”, which appears on the soundtrack of the controversial HBO show The Idol.

]]>This week marked the release of several new albums, but Foo Fighters’ But Here We Are is the buzziest of them all. The ten-minute track “The Teacher” was unleashed as the album’s fourth single ahead of its release, and it made it to our list of best songs.
This has also been an amazing week for epic collaboration and soundtrack music. Some of the songs on our list hail from hit movies and TV shows, including Ed Sheeran’s “A Beautiful Game” from Ted Lasso, Metro Boomin’s hip-hop infused “Calling” from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, The Weeknd’s “Popular” from The Idol, and “Watati” by Karol G and Aldo Ranks from Barbie.
Most of these songs are amazing collaborations between our favorite artists, but the list of A-list match-ups doesn’t end there. Latto and Cardi B gave us another show-stopping female-lead hip-hop duet with “Put It On Da Floor Again”, Lana Del Rey and her dad Rob Grant joined forces for “Lost at Sea”, and Nelly Furtado made her highly-anticipated comeback with “Eat Your Man” featuring Dom Dolla.

The music video for this song was filmed during the show’s world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival last month, and it features The Idol cast and crew, including the director Sam Levinson and the leading lady Lily-Rose Depp.
The Weeknd discussed The Idol soundtrack with Interview Magazine and cited David Bowie, Prince, and Pink Floyd as his main inspiration.
“I’ve been inspired by The Wall and Purple Rain and when Bowie was doing it, but even in films like Shaft, the music is literally telling the story of the film. But I want to take it to the next level. I want to challenge myself and I feel like, as a musician, I’m the best I’ve ever been,” The Weeknd explained.
