Madonna’s fans were looking forward to her career-spanning Celebration World Tour, but they’ll have to wait a little bit longer. The Queen of Pop decided to postpone all tour days and focus on her health after being hospitalized due to a serious bacterial infection.

Madonna’s manager Guy Osears posted an official statement on social media, revealing that the singer spent several days in the ICU due a serious bacterial infection. A full recovery is expected, but Madonna will take some time away from touring to focus on her health.

“Her health is improving, however she is under medical care… At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows,” said Osears in a statement.

Madonna: The Celebration Tour was supposed to kick off on July 15 in Vancouver, Canada and take the singer everywhere from Toronto and New York to Los Angeles and Las Vegas until early October. She would then head to Europe before performing another North American leg this winter.

The retrospective tour was supposed to cover her greatest hits and feature many A-list guest stars, including Diplo, Judd Apatow, Jack Black, Lil Wayne, Eric André, and Amy Schumer.
