]]>Del Rey shared the amazing news by posting the album’s black-and-white cover, with its title handwritten at the bottom. She tagged her frequent collaborators Jack Antonoff, Luke Laird, and Drew Erickson, and said she’s so grateful that 13 tracks came together as a result of the beautiful work between them.
The Right Person Will Stay will be released on May 21, 2025, via Interscope Records and Polydor Records. Del Rey said she’s “happy for you to hear a few songs coming up before Stagecoach” and hinted that “Henry, Come On” will be her next release. She also announced a series of UK and Ireland tour dates, which might be a part of a larger world tour.
It’s long been suspected that Del Rey’s next album will be the country-tinged Lasso, and it remains unclear if she’ll stick to this theme on The Right Person Will Stay. She previously told Vogue that her next album will be rooted in Americana, adding it will be “more pointed in a classic country, American, or Southern Gothic production.”

]]>Del Rey is one of the artists headlining Coachella this year, and she had a perfect partner in crime during the festival’s opening night. Eilish joined her for a magical performance of her hit song “Ocean Eyes”, which came out in 2016 as a part of her debut EP Don’t Smile at Me.
Del Rey thanked Eilish for hitting the Coachella stage by her side, and described her as the voice of a generation, adding that “Ocean Eyes” is her favorite song by Eilish.
Eilish has been very vocal about her admiration for Del Rey long before joining her at Coachella. She interviewed her for Interview Magazine just last year and opened up about Del Rey’s impact on her music.
“You really paved the way for everyone. People have been trying to look and sound like you since you first started. I talk about this with Finneas [O’Connell]. You changed the way the music industry hears and sees music, and you changed the way people sing,” Eilish told Del Rey.

]]>Del Rey attended Billboard’s pre-Grammy event in Los Angeles in honor of her frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff and revealed what their next album together has in store.
“If you can’t already tell by our award winners and our performers, the music business is going country. We’re going country. It’s happening. That’s why Jack has followed me to Muscle Shoals, Nashville, Mississippi, over the last four years,” said Del Rey.
This announcement comes shortly after the “Summertime Sadness” singer told her fans she had a “beautiful week” working on new music with Antonoff and Luke Laird. She’s yet to share additional information about Lasso, but we know it will hit the shelves this September.
Lasso will mark the follow-up to last year’s Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, which is in the running for album of the year and best alternative music performance at the Grammys. It debuted at No. 1 in the UK, with Del Rey’s best first-week sales in this country, in addition to hitting No. 3 on the US Billboard 200 chart.

In an official press release announcing the band’s fourth studio album, Antonoff described “Alma Mater” as “a weird little magic gem where I’m not really sure why all the pieces are coming together, but they are in this really special way to me.”

]]>Del Rey hit the iconic Other Stage at this year’s Glastonbury, but her set was abruptly cut short because she hit the stage 30 minutes late. She was performing the song “White Mustang” when the organizers decided to cut off her microphone, and the crowd then joined her for the acapella singalong of her smash hit “Video Games”.
Del Rey addressed her controversial Glastonbury set during a recent interview with The Sunday Times and admitted it still haunts her six months down the road.
“I’ve heard of curfews before, but I didn’t know they actually turned the lights off! I didn’t feel great about it, but I was a little confused because I don’t think I was ever in a position where somebody said, ‘If you do not finish by this time, everything will go out,’” said Del Rey.
The singer will have a chance to redeem herself to the UK audience at the next edition of the Reading and Leeds Festival, which she’ll headline next year.
