Sheryl Crow’s new album is coming our way later this summer – and she’s not recording it on her own. The legendary singer managed to round up an impressive ensemble of her musical friends and heroes to help her out.

Crow’s next album Threads will hit the shelves on August 30th and it will feature a series of epic collaborations. The nine-time Grammy-winning singer used this record to join forces with some of her favorite artists, including Chris Stapleton, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton and Sting,

“I became inspired to record an album of musical experiences with the legacy artists who inspired me to want to be a great songwriter, musician, and producer. It is a celebration with them, and a tribute to them,” explained Sheryl Crow in a press release.

It was equally important to Crow to collaborate with some of the most aspiring artists of the younger generation, including Brandi Carlile and Maren Morris.

“Just as importantly, I wanted to work with younger artists on this record, who I believe will pick up the torch and continue to light the way for humanity with their stories and their songs for many years to come. Their music inspires me every day,” concluded Crow.
