Shawn Mendes is currently getting ready to headline his first stadium show ever, and he’s already off to a good start. The tickets went on sale on Saturday, and they sold out in a matter of minutes!
The most exciting part of the whole story is the fact this is also going to be his first time headlining a concert in his hometown of Toronto.
“This really was a dream come true to play the Rogers Centre in my hometown. And now to have sold it out is just incredible and something I could have only ever imagined,” said Mendes.
Louis Messina, who’s in charge of promoting the concert, described the “In My Blood” singer as an artist with a vision, a dream, and determination, and expressed his hope this is only the first of many stadium shows in his future.
Rogers Centre concert will take place on September 6, 2019, and it will wrap up the North American leg of his upcoming global tour, which spans over 60 dates between North America, Europe, UK, and Australia.
