Shakira Reveals New Dates for Her El Dorado Tour

Good news Shakira fans! The “Hips Don’t Lie singer has announced new dates for her El Dorado tour. Previously, the 40-year-old singer has canceled the majority of the shows in Europe due to strained vocals. The tour was completely reshaped in order to give Shakira enough time to recover.

“I wanted to write one more letter to express my gratitude to all of you for the immeasurable love and support that you have sent me these past few weeks,” wrote Shakira on her social media account. “Thankfully, I am so relieved and happy to share with you that I will be getting back on the road in June 2018 with my El Dorado World Tour in Europe, and the US, with Latin America, dates to be announced soon.”

Shakira first postponed her show in Cologne alongside the dates in Paris, Antwerp, and Amsterdam before canceling the whole European tour in 2017 and moving it to 2018. Now the tour starts in Cologne, Germany on June 5th, 2018 and features 15 more shows in Europe during which Shakira will visit Netherlands, France, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal and Spain.

After she wraps up the shows in Europe, Shakira will embark on a North American leg of the tour which will last until September. You can check out the rescheduled dates for the United States below.

The Latin America dates will be revealed soon. During this part of the tour, Shakira intends to visit countries where she didn’t perform often like the Dominican Republic.

El Dorado is Shakira’s eleventh studio album. It was released on 26 May 2017 and received generally positive reviews from the critics. The album peaked at number 15 of the US Billboard 200 list while charting in the top 10 in multiple countries including Spain, France, and Argentina.
