Shaboozey became an overnight sensation thanks to his smash hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”, and its chart domination is far from over. His breakout song returned atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart for its 17th week, becoming the longest-running No. 1 hit by a solo artist.

“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” totaled 70.7 million radio airplay audience impressions, 21.2 million official streams, and 5,000 copies sold during its latest week on the chart, easily snagging the No. 1 spot. Even before this week came around, Shaboozey had the longest-running number-one song of the year, and he’s not done breaking records.

With 17 weeks spent atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart, “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is the longest-running No. 1 single by a solo artist, surpassing Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night”. The all-time record is still held by Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” ft. Billy Ray Cyrus, which spent 19 weeks at No. 1 in 2019.

“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” was released as a single from Shaboozey’s latest studio album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going, and it helped him break into the mainstream. He received five nominations at this year’s Grammy Awards, including best new artist, plus song of the year, best country song, and best country solo performance with his breakout hit.
