Sean Combs a.k.a. Puff Daddy, Puffy, P. Diddy and Diddy decided in November to change his name again. He went with the name of Love aka Brother Love this time, but only for a short period, later stating that he was “only joking.”

Now, during his appearance on the on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the rapper changed his story once again, saying that he is sticking with the name Love after all.

“I never went back to Diddy and I made an edit from Brother Love, since I’m already black, to just Love,” he told Jimmy Kimmel. “The Brother seemed redundant. And it’s working out great. Who doesn’t love Love?”

This, however, doesn’t mean you can’t call him by his other names.

“You can call me by the other names,” said the 48-year-old. “This is just an evolution of my soul and my vibration. I’m Diddy, but during the days that are really, really good, I’m Love – which is all of the time.”

Check out the Diddy’s (or should we say Love’s) appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! below.

In case you aren’t familiar with the whole “name changing” drama, let’s summarize it quickly. In a video posted via Twitter on the day of his birthday, Combs said: “I know it’s risky because it could come off as corny to some people. So my new name is Love, aka Brother Love. I will not be answering to Puffy, Diddy, Puff Daddy, or any of my other monikers.”

This made the media and the fans react in all kinds of different ways, some supporting the name change while others thought it was too much. The rapper then posted an Instagram video, in which he said he was only joking.

Now we don’t know what to believe anymore, but just to be safe, if you see Combs on the street, call him Love.
