Rosalía gave us her version of the ultimate summer anthem with “Despecha” and its newly released video perfectly reflects its carefree vibe. The lively visual sees the Spanish singer trying to beat the heat by taking part in all sorts of beachside activities.

The music video for “Despecha” reunites Rosalía with Mitch Ryan, who previously helmed the visual for her hit single “Hentai”. The video was shot in Mallorca, and it opens with a singer sitting on a crowded beach, surrounded by tourists, before taking a ride on a boat and having fun with other beachgoers.

“Despecha” was originally released on July 28 and its lyrics are all about embracing the joys of leaving toxic relationships behind to hit the dancefloor. This club banger is primarily a mambo track, but it also features elements of merengue and electropop.

“Despecha” follows the release of Rosalía’s third studio album Motomami and it wasn’t one of the songs featured on this record. This LP hit the shelves on March 18, hit No. 1 in her home country of Spain and produced a number of hit tracks including “Saoko,” “Chicken Teriyaki,” “Hentai,” “Candy,” and the lead single “La Fama” featuring The Weeknd.
