Rihanna has been so busy with her non-musical endeavors, that we had to wait for three years for her new album – but the wait is finally over.
The R&B princess recently stated she’ll grace us with new music once 2019 rolls around. The confirmation came in the form of a short Instagram comment after one of the fans asked her when she intends to drop her next record. Rihanna simply replied by writing, “2019” but that was enough to send her fans into a frenzy.
This news comes only a few days after her vocal producer Kuk Harrell teased the new album, and described it as incredible and amazing. There’s not much more we know about Riri’s follow-up to Anti, but there’s a lot of rumors flying around. Some are even speculating the nine-time Grammy winner won’t drop one, but two albums at the same time! Sources close to the singer said she wasn’t happy with the way Anti performed, and that’s why she recording two albums – one filled with chart-friendly songs, and another made up of experimental tracks.
Whatever the truth may be, we certainly wouldn’t complain if she surprised us by dropping two albums at once. Who could say no to a double dose of Rihanna?
