Post Malone has teased his new album and says he hopes it will “uplift people’s spirits”.

The coronavirus pandemic has been an interesting time for musicians. Being trapped indoors has given many artists the discipline they need to create new music. At the same time, the feeling of being stuck is not the ideal environment for creating art.

Rapper Post Malone describes being in lockdown as “both a blessing and a curse.” He also revealed that his new album will contain songs about “what has been going on recently.”

“I’m working on an album now,” he told WSJ Magazine. “There’s so much to say in these times that will give people hope and hopefully uplift people’s spirits. Because it’s a dark time in America. It’s a dark time in the world.

“Honestly, for a songwriter to be in the house all day is a blessing and a curse. In the darkest of times I’m just trying to make something beautiful out of it.”

The upcoming Post Malone album does not yet have a release date.
