Olivia Rodrigo recently marked the second anniversary of her debut studio album, and it was truly a celebration full of surprises. The Grammy-winning singer announced she’s working on her second studio album and said it’s “so close to being done.”
Rodrigo took to Instagram to celebrate Sour turning two and said that no words could ever describe how much this album means to her. She shared several behind-the-scenes photos, presumably taken while she was recording her debut record, and added that “the new stuff is so so so so so close to being done.”
This isn’t the first time Rodrigo teased her sophomore studio album. Back in January, she shared a photo from the studio and said she’s been working on “so many new songs”. She simply referred to this record as OR2, and she’s yet to officially share its title, but she already has something in mind.
“I have a title for my next album and a few songs. It’s really exciting to think about the next world that’s coming up for me. I just love writing songs. I’m trying not to put too much pressure on myself. [I want to] just sort of explore and have fun right now,” she told Billboard in February last year.
