Nick Jonas has given us some great music with Jonas Brothers since their reunion, but he’s ready to fly solo again. His new album Spaceman is just around the corner, and it focuses on four main themes—distance, indulgence, euphoria, and commitment.

Like many artists releasing new music these days, Jonas developed Spaceman while social distancing at home and hoping for better days ahead. He discussed the process of making this album with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe and said he was inspired by the feeling of being completely disconnected from the world that we’ve all faced recently.

“We’ve gotten so accustomed to looking at a screen instead of human interaction, and I think the thing that keeps us all encouraged and hopeful is just the idea of knowing that there will be a tomorrow when this isn’t our reality, and I think the body of work as a whole tracks that,” said Jonas.

Spaceman will be released on March 12th, and the singer promoted it by releasing the titular single, which he also performed live during a recent appearance on Saturday Night Live.

This is his fourth solo studio album and the first to be released since the Jonas Brothers reunion in 2019.
