The expanded edition of Mobb Deep’s seminal album The Infamous is set to be released this month. Havoc, the surviving member of iconic Queens’ hip hop duo, announced on social media that the record is being reissued in order to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the original.

The reissue will drop on April 24th on digital platforms and will contain bonus tracks that have never been made available for streaming until now. This will include Infamous Sessions Mixes of tracks “The Money (Version 2)” and “Lifestyles Of The Infamous,” as well as “Shook One, Part I” (Original Version).

Later this year, The Infamous will also get a vinyl reissue that comes with the original album alongside rare mixes, alternate takes and unreleased tracks.

The Infamous, Mobb Deeps second studio album, arrived on April 25, 1995. The record was a significant commercial success and made it to No.3 on the US Billboard 200. It also received widespread acclaim from the critics at the time, who praised its dark vibe, hard-edged rhymes, and production.

The album received additional praise in the years that followed, being credited as one of the most important records of the East Coast rap and a “cornerstone album of New York hardcore rap.”
