It’s only been a month since Lana Del Rey dropped her latest studio album, but she already managed to break a major record with its vinyl release. Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd became the best-selling vinyl album of 2023 so far with over 20,800 copies sold.

The Official Charts Company recently unveiled the list of best-selling vinyl albums of 2023 in the UK, and Lana Del Rey easily reached the top spot. After scoring her sixth No. 1 album in the UK, she also made a splash with its vinyl format, selling 20,800 copies in less than a month.

This milestone is quite impressive since Del Rey had to face pretty tough competition to come on top. Gorillaz’s Cracker Island came in second, followed by Courteeners’ St. Jude, Pink Floyd’s live-pressing of The Dark Side of the Moon, and Taylor Swift’s latest album Midnights.

Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd was released on March 24, and it was preceded by the title track and singles “A&W” and “The Grants”. In addition to hitting No. 1 in the UK, it also debuted at no. 3 on the US Billboard 200 chart, with the biggest opening for Del Rey’s album since Honeymoon in 2015.
