Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett proved that they’re a match made in heaven with their 2015 album Cheek to Cheek. This record topped the charts, won a Grammy, and gave us several amazing songs. Now, the duo is finally ready to release its follow-up.

The news of the pair’s upcoming album was announced in the new AARP magazine article detailing Bennett’s battle with Alzheimer’s disease. They started working on this album in 2018 at New York’s Electric Lady Studios and continued recording through early last year.

Lady Gaga calls Bennett “an incredible mentor, and friend, and father figure” in an article passage that describes their creative process at the studio. Danny Bennett, the singer’s son and manager, announced the album in the article. “I wanted to check with her to make sure she was cool because she watches his back all the time. She was like, ‘Absolutely, it’s just another gift that he can give to the world,’” he explained.

The second collaborative album recorded by Gaga and Bennett still doesn’t have a release date, but it’s expected to drop in the second quarter of 2021.
