Katy Perry has always been full of surprises, but she took things to a whole new level with her latest music video. The emotional video for her new single “Never Worn White” sees the singer doing something no one saw coming – announcing her pregnancy to the whole world.
“Never Worn White” shows Perry in two amazing outfits – elegant white gown and elaborate floral dress – but the final shot sees her changing into a sheer white outfit, and cradling her belly.
Perry described her pregnancy with fiancé Orlando Bloom as “the longest secret I’ve ever had to keep”, and said she decided to announce it through a piece of music because that’s the way she speaks to her fans.
The Grammy-nominated artist also revealed that “Never Worn White” won’t serve as the lead single from her upcoming fifth studio album, but described it as “a good way to start out”.
Her latest single was preceded by tracks “Never Really Over”, “Small Talk”, “Harleys in Hawaii”, and the Zedd collaboration “365”, but it’s still unclear if they’re going to be featured on her next album.
