We’re used to seeing Katy Perry drop larger-than-life music videos, but her latest proves things can look and sound equally amazing when she gets personal. “Harleys in Hawaii” sees the singer revisiting one of her wildest romantic adventures.

Just like the title suggests, the music video for her new track sees the singer hitting the road in Hawaii on her Harley Davidson and living her biker-girl dream. This epic video only gets better once you learn the backstory behind it.

Katy Perry discussed “Harleys in Hawaii” during a recent appearance on The Zach Sang Show, and revealed she came up with the idea for this song during a holiday in Hawaii with her fiancé Orlando Bloom. They rented a Harley during their trip to Oahu and had a blast exploring the island while riding together.

“Harleys in Hawaii” is one in ae series of stand-alone singles that Perry dropped in the last few months. It follows the release of her previous tracks “Never Really Over” and “Small Talk”, but she’s yet to announce if they’ll be featured on her next studio album.
