Attention all who suffer from heartache: there’s a new medicine in town that’s sure to ease your pain. Side effects may include an uncontrollable desire to dance and a feeling of euphoria. But don’t worry, it’s perfectly safe to use, despite a good chance of developing a dependency. We are talking, of course, about Jon Pardi’s new album, Heartache Medication!

“They’re all these fun songs that make you feel better”, Pardi explained to Billboard.  “If they’re a little slower, they still make you feel really good. That’s why we played it off the medication thing: we want to do songs that make you feel good, make you want to have a drink, do a little dancing or just cry it out.”

Pardi has made a name for himself within the Country scene with his two previous albums, Write You a Song and California Sunrise, as a musician with a penchant for combining the old with the new. He likes taking the soul of 60’s Country and infuse it with modern twists.

“We were going for a fun, new traditional country record that has old-school sounds, but it’s modern, and it can hold its own in this state of country music,” he went on to add. “I love the quote, ‘We sit around and have some beers and listen to some old country.’ There’s no reason why we couldn’t sit around and have some beers to my new record. It’s the same kind of sounds.”
