Jennifer Lopez’s first new album in a decade is hitting the shelves next month, and she found a great way to get us excited about its release. She gave us a taste of things to come with a cheeky, wedding-themed music video for the first single “Can’t Get Enough”.
The Dave Meyers-directed visual sees J. Lo poking fun at her past marriages by moving from one husband to the next. As the video progresses, we watch her dance the night away with several different grooms, while the guests place bets for how long each marriage would last.
The singer discussed this meta visual with Variety at the Golden Globe Awards and said it would show the world she doesn’t take herself too seriously.
“I think it might surprise some people. It’s definitely kind of a meta-story about the journey that it takes from getting from heartbreak back to love… I think that life is a crazy journey where you fall down and you get back up, and you keep trying and you never give up,” said Lopez.
“Can’t Get Enough” serves as the lead single from This Is Me… Now, set to hit the shelves on February 16. It’s her first album in ten years, developed as a spiritual successor to her hit third studio album This Is Me… Then from 2002.
