At a recent gig in Seattle, Jack White decided to treat his fans by covering one of the city’s most influential bands, grunge legends Pearl Jam. White did a cover of their hit song “Daughter,” continuing the cover-swap between himself and the band’s frontman Eddie Vedder.

Prior to this, Vedder did a cover of White Stripes’ track “We’re Going to Be Friends” at Pearl Jam’s recent show in Seattle. The two musicians know each other very well, having collaborated on several occasions before including a cover of Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World” back in July.

The show in Seattle was part of Jack White’s ongoing tour across the United States in support of his third solo studio album Boarding House Reach. The record was met with polarizing reviews from the critics, with some calling it his best solo effort to date while others viewed it as a mediocre album. Despite this, Boarding House Reach performed commercially really well and topped the US Billboard 200 as well as Canadian album charts. It cracked the top 10 in four other countries.
