London singer-songwriter Westerman had a great year in 2018 presenting a string of highly successful singles and Ark EP.

Although he was expected to follow this up with a full-length album this year, this talented musician decided to make the cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s 1966 ballad “Kathy’s Song” his first release of 2019.

The cover was released as part of the 4 Down compilation curated by British producer Nathan Jenkins aka Bullion. According to the press release, Westerman’s version of “Kathy’s Song” was recorded in a small cottage in Lisbon. Check it out below.

4 Down is the fourth installment in Bullion’s series of cover albums. It also features Nautic covering Fleetwood Mac’s “Only Over You,” M.T. Hadley covering Elliott Smith’s “Easy Way Out” and more. The album is set for release on October 18th with the artwork being done by Portuguese artist Bráulio Amado.
