Hear Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme Cover “Silent Night”

Queens of the Stone Age’s frontman Josh Homme is already caught up in the Christmas spirit and he wants you to get there as well. In his attempt to spread the holiday mood, Homme recently presented his version of popular Christmas carol “Silent Night,” which he recorded with Australian blues musician C.W. Stoneking.

This interesting cover is part of limited-edition seven-inch single, which was recorded during QOTSA’s 2017 tour in Australia, also features a reading of “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, ” as a B-side. The release is already available for streaming and digital download, while the physical copy will be out on December 14th and available for purchase on qotsa.com.

“Queens of the Stone Age’ are working off the holiday spread in advance.” – said the band in the press release. “The band is spreading year-end tidings of comfort and joy whether you want it or not.”

All the earnings from the sale of the single will benefit Sweet Stuff Foundation, Josh Homme’s non-profit that “provides assistance career musicians, recording engineers and their families struggling with illness and disabilities.”
