Greta Van Fleet made a big splash with their debut album Anthem of the Peaceful Army last year, and its follow-up is already in the works. The band’s members recently discussed their next record and revealed we can expect something “quite different” once it comes out.

Sam and Jake Kiszka set down with NME before their recent concert at the Mad Cool Festival in Madrid and shared some pretty exciting news about their sophomore album.

“There’s a little evolution, I suppose, with everything. We’re working on something quite different, I suppose. It’s interesting because we never know exactly what an album’s gonna look like; it can only be so premeditated. But, as it sort of unfolds now, it’s sort of an example of where we are musically right now,” said guitarist Jake Kiszka.

Greta Van Fleet bassist Sam Kiszka promised they’ll be “incorporating more sounds, more tones, more styles of music” on their new album and described it as the next step in their evolution. The album still doesn’t have a title or a release date, but they’ve previously promised it will be out by the end of the year.
