Evanescence has released a new single, “Better Without You” from their upcoming studio album.

The track is the fifth official single from the band’s upcoming album, The Bitter Truth, which will be released on March 26. The album will be Evanescence’s first album of all-new music in a decade.

The single follows “Wasted On You”, “The Game is Over”, “Yeah Right”, and “Use My Voice”.

The new single has vocalist Amy Lee singing about impendence with some amazing guitar riffs. “As empires fall to pieces/Our ashes twisting in the air/It makes me smile to know that/I’m better without you,” Lee sings.

The band started working on the album in 2019 with much of it being recorded during the pandemic.

“The energy was just amped,” Lee told Rolling Stone. “We were in there on fire. Now, the guys are back at their homes, and I am wading through the aftermath of all the music, piecing it together and finalizing the record. …The upside of this time is that I’ve had to buckle down and focus. Even on the days that I don’t want to, I come out here and I go, ‘Let’s do this. Let’s finish the album.’ ”
