It’s already been a few months since Dua Lipa teased the start of her new era with “Houdini”—and there’s more where that came from. The Grammy-winning singer is now gearing up for the release of her brand-new single “Training Season”, set to hit the shelves on February 15.

In an official statement teasing the release of her new single, Lipa revealed this song came together after a series of bad dates. She described it as a song about growing with every experience before reaching the point when you realize that the training season is over.

“While it may be that training season is never over for any of us, you start to see the beauty in finding that person to experience it with. You stop looking for the trainees and become more interested in having someone where you are and someone to grow with,” said Lipa.

“Training Season” will be released as the second single from Lipa’s upcoming third studio album, which she described as “a psychedelic-pop-infused tribute to UK rave culture” in a recent interview with The Rolling Stones.

Even though she hasn’t released a new album since Future Nostalgia in 2020, Lipa is currently in the running for two Grammy Awards for song of the year and best song written for a visual media for “Dance the Night” from Barbie.
