Dua Lipa’s third album was a long time coming, and she finally shared all the info we’ve been missing about this record. The Grammy winner’s next record will be called Radical Optimism, and it will feature a total of 11 brand-new songs, set to hit the shelves this May.

After teasing her new era for months, Lipa finally shared all the info we’ve been missing about this record, including its title and release date. She also posted the album cover, which brilliantly channels its title by showing Lipa staying calm despite coming face-to-face with a shark in the middle of an ocean.

Dua Lipa became intrigued with the concept of radical optimism after a friend mentioned it a few years ago. The idea of “going through chaos gracefully” resonated with her, and she decided to explore it through a Britpop lens on her new album.

“At the same time, I found myself looking through the music history of psychedelia, trip-hop, and Britpop. It has always felt so confidently optimistic to me, and that honesty and attitude is a feeling I took into my recording sessions,” she explained in a statement.

Radical Optimism will hit the shelves on May 3, and it will feature 11 songs, including hit singles “Houdini” and “Training Season.
