It’s been two years since Dua Lipa made a splash with her debut album, and its follow-up is already on its way. The young singer recently discussed her new music, and promised a nostalgic pop record that “feels like a dancercise class.”

Lipa recently attended Nordoff Robins’ Silver Clef Awards and used this opportunity to share exciting news about her new album while chatting with BBC on the red carpet.

“It’s been a long time coming so I’m super happy… I’m very much more in touch with who I am. Now I have a very clear idea of what I’m doing and what I want to say. Things I’m not afraid of,” said the 23-year-old singer.

Dua Lipa has been working closely with Pharrell Williams, Nile Rodgers, Diplo and Tove Lo while developing her new record. Her sophomore album still doesn’t have a release date or a title, but she previously hinted it’s coming our way later this year.
