During her recent appearance on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, French pop star Christine and the Queens decided to deliver a welcoming surprise to her fans. Besides singing her latest hit “5 Dollars,” she also did an inspiring mash-up performance of Rihanna’s “Kiss It Better” and Kate Bush’s “Wuthering Heights.”

If you are wondering whether the 30-year-old singer/songwriter managed to make these two songs work together, check out her performance in full below.

Christine and the Queens is currently in the UK promoting her latest studio album Chris, which was released back in late September. The record, which serves as a follow up to her 2014’s debut album Chaleur Humaine, was presented in two versions, English and French. It received widespread acclaim from the critics who called it “refreshing, empowering record.”

Chris also had a solid commercial run, being certified gold in France and topping the country’s charts. The album also reached top five in six other countries including the UK.

Christine and the Queens is currently touring Europe in order to promote her new album and is scheduled to perform in the UK, Switzerland, and France until the end of the year. In early 2019, she will also tour Australia making stops in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Newtown.
