When it comes to music festivals, the United States, UK, France, Spain, and Germany tend to be the country’s that spring to mind when choosing where to head for festival season.

Although we are huge fans of Barcelona’s Primavera and UK’s Glastonbury, we’ve also been looking east recently and have been amazed at the choice of festivals Europe offers.

Our latest discovery is the Romanian Festival “Electric Castle.” The festival is hosted in Bonţida village and takes place outside an actual castle.

What’s more, the lineup this year is fabulous. Big names like Thirty Seconds To Mars, Limp Bizkit, and Florence + The Machine are all on the bill this July.

In addition to offering a fabulous alternative lineup, the festival will be offering an array of art installations for festival-goers to enjoy. Istanbul’s Memo Akten and “modern-day M.C Escher” Fujimoto are among the artists who will be bringing their creations to the floor.

The festival will be heald July 17-21 and you can buy your tickets here.
