Charlie Puth recently shared a music video for his latest single “Left and Right” and he found the perfect partner in crime to join in the fun. He recorded this song alongside Jungkook, marking his first solo appearance following BTS’s hiatus announcement.

The Drew Hirsch-directed clip sees the duo trying to get over their respective exes. When nothing else works, they decide to visit the Love Doctor in the hope he’ll be able to help them cure their heartbreak and move on with their lives.

Puth accidentally dropped hints about a possible collaboration with BTS in an interview with the radio host JoJo Wright. The K-pop boy band hasn’t yet announced their hiatus at the time, and it later turned out that Puth only joined forces with Jungkook. He previously performed with BTS at the Genie Music Awards in 2018 and wasn’t aware that they’re planning a hiatus when he asked Jungkook to work with him.

“Left and Right” is the latest single from Puth’s upcoming third studio album Charlie, and it was preceded by songs “Light Switch” and “That’s Hilarious”. Since the release of his last LP Voicenotes in 2018, he collaborated with Gabby Barrett on the remix of “I Hope” and appeared on Elton John’s album The Lockdown Sessions.
