It’s been five years since Chappell Roan first released her breakout single “Pink Pony Club”, and its popularity isn’t fading away. The hit song from her debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess entered the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming her third song to do so.
“Pink Pony Club” earned 38.1 million in airplay audience, 15.1 million streams, and 6,000 sold during its latest week on the Billboard Hot 100, rising from No. 9 to No. 5. It thus became Roan’s first song from The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess to enter the top five and third overall, after “Good Luck, Babe!” and “The Giver”.
“Pink Pony Club” was initially released in 2020, and later made its way to Roan’s debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess from 2023. It became a sleeper hit in the wake of Roan’s rising popularity, especially after she delivered memorable performances during her appearances on Saturday Night Live and the 2025 Grammy Awards.
As for the rest of the Billboard Hot 100 for this week, Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Luther” returned to the top spot for its sixth total and consecutive week. It’s followed by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With a Smile” at No. 2, Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” at No. 3, and Morgan Wallen’s “Just in Case” debuting at No. 4.
