It’s only been a year since Camila Cabello gave us one of the most epic debut albums in recent years and she’s ready for its follow-up. The young singer recently discussed her personal new record and said it captures the essence of who she is right now.
Cabello discussed her new music during the Cannes Lions festival, and said she has a lot of stories to tell with this album as she’s no longer living inside her “little bubble of life”.
“For the first time on this album it’s not my imagination, it’s me writing about things that are happening in real time and I think that there’s a level of detail and emotion that you get from that that’s kind of irreplaceable,” explained Camila Cabello.
The former Fifth Harmony singer didn’t reveal what we can expect from her new sound but confessed she’s been listening to a lot of Paramore, Coldplay, and other artists from the early 2000s. The follow-up to her debut album Camila still doesn’t have a title or release date, but Cabello revealed she’s nearly finished recording it.
