BTS is currently on hiatus, but that’s not stopping its members from rocking our world with their solo music. Jimin made quite a splash with his latest single “Like Crazy”, which debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100, making history along the way.

Jimin became the first South Korean solo artist to hit no. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100, surpassing Psy who reached No. 2 with his viral hit “Gangnam Style”. “Like Crazy” was released as one of the singles from Jimin’s debut solo album Face, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, becoming the highest-charting album by a K-pop solo in the US.

The success of “Like Crazy” can be credited to several versions that accompanied its release. In addition to the Korean and English version, Jimin also dropped the “Deep House” mix, the “UK Garage” mix, an instrumental version of this track.

“Like Crazy” eventually hit No. 1 with 254,000 song downloads and CD singles combined, 10 million streams, and 64,000 radio airplay audience impressions during its first week on the chart. It also debuted atop the Digital Song Sales chart.

As for the rest of the Billboard Hot 100 this week, Miley Cyrus dropped to No. 2 with “Flowers”, with Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” and SZA’s “Kill Bill” right behind her.
