BTS finds a way to push boundaries with each song they share with their fans, but they reached an entirely different level with their latest single, “Black Swan”. This track comes with a dance-filled video that sees a group of dancers performing elaborate choreography.

This short art film features an interpretive dance performance by Slovenian modern dance troupe MN Dance Company. Seven dancers are filmed inside an abandoned mall, where they use a lavishly choreographed dance to convey the message of BTS’s latest track.

Both song and the music video have been inspired by the movie of the same name, but their main mission was to allow the members of the K-pop band to dive deep into their inner selves and face their greatest fears.

“The song lends voice to their fears that one day, music will no longer be able to move or touch them. The very moment they come face to face with the ‘Black Swan’ within themselves, however, they are stricken with a paradoxical realization that music is all they have,” reads the band’s press release.

“Black Swan” serves as the lead single from the band’s upcoming album Map of the Soul: 7, set to be released on February 21st.
