Blackpink members recently renewed their contracts with YG Entertainment, but the girl’s solo members are branching out in new directions. Jennie was the first to announce she’ll kick off her “solo journey” with her newly-founded company OA.

The K-pop singer took to social media to announce she founded a new company OA, which will be handling her solo projects in the future.

“This year was filled with many accomplishments, and I’m so thankful for all the love I’ve received. I’m also about what’s to come, as I start my solo journey in 2024 with a company that I have established called OA. Please show lots of love for my new start with OA and of course, Blackpink,” wrote Jennie on social media.

OA stands for “Odd Atelier”, and its official website describes it as “a space that aims to create new things that attract attention in a different way from what is usual or expected.”

2023 has been a transformative year for Jennie, even before she announced she’s launching her own label. The Blackpink singer made her acting debut in HBO’s short-lived series The Idol and recorded the song “One of the Girls” with her co-stars The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp.
