One thing we love about Billie Eilish is that she enjoys constantly trying new things, and the music video for her latest single “Xanny” sees her doing something she’s never done before – sitting in the director’s chair.

Eilish’s first self-directed visual sees her sitting on a bench in an all-white outfit. As the clip proceeds, the camera zooms in and out and we can see several hands moving into the frame to put out their cigarettes, perfectly capturing the lyrics of the singer’s new track.

“Xanny” was one of the songs featured on her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and she saw this video as a perfect opportunity to try her talents behind the camera since she wanted to do it for a while.

“I’m very excited to share my directorial debut. Visuals are so important to me, and I’m very proud to be in a place where I can present my creative vision exactly as I want it. Thank you to everyone who has put their trust in me,” Eilish said in a statement.
