Performing on Saturday Night Live is a dream come true for any artists, and Billie Eilish reached this milestone at the age of 17 – and literally turned this show upside down in the process.

The chart-topping singer made her SNL debut during the recent premiere of Season 45, and music critics are already hailing her performance as the best one in the show’s history. She performed “Bad Guy” and “I Love You” alongside her brother Finneas O’Connell, and the first track was the one that caught everyone’s eye.

Eilish delivered her chart-topping single from a box that resembled the Grand Central station and defied gravity while inside it, by walking on the walls and jumped up and down the ceiling. Naturally, the entire thing was just an optical illusion, but that doesn’t make her performance any less impressive.

Billie Eilish will be a hard act to follow, but Taylor Swift and Camila Cabello will have to give it their best shot. The two are booked as the musical guests on the upcoming two episodes of Saturday Night Live, set to air on October 5th and 12th.
