Billie Eilish and Rosalía have been teasing their collaboration for what seems like an eternity, and they finally shared it with the world. Their new single “Lo Vas a Olvidar” was featured in the latest episode of Euphoria and it’s as hauntingly beautiful as we expected.
The title of this track loosely translates as “You will forget her”, and its lyrics are half in Spanish and half in English. Eilish isn’t fluent in Spanish, so Rosalía coached her and translated the lyrics for her.
Eilish discussed singing in this language with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, saying “I remember when we were writing the song, I remember her saying something about, ‘It should be in English.’ And I was like, ‘No, no, no. It should be in Spanish. It’s so beautiful.’ And I’ve always loved music that isn’t in English.”
“Lo Vas a Olvidar” was followed by an atmospheric music video directed by Nabil Elderkin. It was also featured in the trailer for the second special episode of Euphoria starring Hunter Schafer and included on the series soundtrack.
