Bastille’s new album Doom Days is just around the corner, and the band just gave us another taste of things to come. The music video for their new song “Those Nights” is here, and it’s as gloomy as it gets.

The band’s latest video was directed by Crooked Cynics, and it shows singer Dan Smith sitting on an old sofa in a dimly lit room. As the camera spins around him, we see he’s surrounded by unconscious bodies, looking for meaning in all this madness.

Judging by what we’ve heard so far, Doom Days will be much darker than Bastille’s previous studio efforts, but they’ll probably manage to find the right balance between reflective and hopeful tunes at the end of the day.

Doom Days will come out on June 14th, and the band will use it to explore the importance of escapism, hope and the preciousness of close friendships. Before sharing the video for “Those Nights”, Bastille dropped equally impressive visuals for new songs “Doom Days” and “Joy.”
