Barbie gave us one of the most memorable movie soundtracks of 2023, and Golden Globe voters seem to agree. The list of nominations for this award show is in, and Barbie: The Album tracks took hold of the best original song field with three nods.

The list of contenders for the best original song at the Golden Globes will include Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night”, Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For?”, and “I’m Just Ken”, performed by Ryan Gosling. Seeing Barbie dominate this category is not a shocker, after all three tracks also received Grammy nominations for best song written for visual media, along with “Barbie World” by Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj.

Barbie songs took over half of the best original song field at the Golden Globe, while the list of the remaining nominees includes Bruce Springsteen’s “Addicted to Romance” from She Came To Me, Jack Black’s “Peaches” from The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and Lenny Kravitz’s “Road to Freedom” from Rustin.

Taylor Swift will also be among the contenders at this year’s Golden Globes, after her concert film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour received a nod for the newly introduced cinematic and box office achievement award.

The 2024 Golden Globe Awards will take place on January 7, 2024, at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California.
