Ava Max may be new to the music scene, but she already knows how to deliver an epic music video. She just gave us another one with her new single “Torn”, which sees her turning her superpower mode on to get revenge on her cheating partner.
Max shot this highly elaborate video in Milan, with Joseph Kahn serving as a director, and used it to explore the complex relationship between love and hate.
“Shooting the ‘Torn’ music video was a dream come true. I got to travel all over Milan as a superhero confronting my cheating husband. I want women to know all around the world that they have the power!” said Max in a press release.
Max premiered the song during her recent performance at the MTV Video Music Awards where she mashed it up with her breakout hit “Sweet but Psycho”. She attended the ceremony wearing the same superhero outfit she can be seen rocking in her new music video.
