If you were hoping to hear Ariana Grande live in the near future, we’ve got some bad news for you. The Grammy-winning singer recently dropped some hints about her plans for the future and said she’s not planning to go on tour “anytime soon” as she shifts her focus to acting.
Grande’s fans were over the moon when a rumor about her potential 2025 tour started making the rounds online. Her label was quick to dismiss it, saying, “There are no plans for a tour next year, but Ariana remains deeply appreciative of her fans and all the continued love, support and excitement.”
Grande herself addresses the speculations during an interview at the Golden Globes First-Time Nominees luncheon and explains why touring isn’t her priority at this point in time.
“I feel so grateful to the acting, and I think my fans know that music and being on stage will always be a part of my life, but I don’t see it coming anytime soon. I think the next few years, hopefully, we’ll be exploring different forms of art, and I think acting is feeling like home right now,” she told Variety.
Grande made her acting comeback with the role of Glinda in Wicked, which earned her a Golden Globe nomination, and she’ll return for its sequel Wicked: For Good. Earlier this year, she also released her seventh studio album Eternal Sunshine, which produced chart-topping singles “Yes, And?” and “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” and earned three Grammy nominations.
