Adam Lambert is welcoming a new era of his career with his upcoming album Velvet, and he picked the perfect song to kick it off – he just dropped a music video for lead single “New Eyes,” inspired by 1970s aesthetics.
This retro video, directed by Miles and AJ, is only a first chapter of a multi-part short film and serves as an introduction to Lambert’s upcoming LP. The entire film will lead up to the release of his new album, and the first piece of the puzzle perfectly reflects its general vibe.
“I wanted my first single to reflect my current state of mind and to bring listeners into a romantic, earthy vibe. ‘New Eyes’ is a love letter to innocence and to finding new passions,” said Adam Lambert in a statement.
The singer’s fans won’t have to wait for long to hear this song live. He’s set to perform it during an upcoming episode of American Idol, alongside his previously released track “Feel Something”.
