It’s been less than a decade since Ozuna started his rise to stardom, but he’s already one of the biggest Latin stars in the world. That’s why the masterminds behind the Latin American Music Awards decided to reward him with a special achievement—the Extraordinary Evolution Award.

According to Latin AMAs’ official statement, this special award is meant to reflect change, growth, and speed in a career of a young artist who achieved accelerated success over a short period of time, and Ozuna perfectly fits this description.

The “Caramelo” singer won six Latin AMAs over the years, starting with the best new artist of the year in 2017. He’s also a recipient of two Latin Grammy Awards, twelve Billboard Latin Music Awards, and many other prestigious honors.

Ozuna will pick up his Extraordinary Evolution Award at this year’s Latin AMAs, taking place on April 15th. J Balvin and Karol G  topped the list of nominees with a total of nine nominations each, but Ozuna is among the top contenders with seven nods, including the artist of the year.
