]]>This Friday was pretty slow in terms of new music releases, but Juice Wrld’s fans had a reason to celebrate. His third posthumous album and fifth overall The Party Never Ends was released this Friday, and the track “Misfit” created quite a splash, along with collaborations with Nicki Minaj, Benny Blanco, Eminem, and Fall Out Boy.
The Arcane soundtrack has given us several amazing songs, and King Princess’ “Fantastic” is the latest to make it to our list after hitting the shelves earlier this week. It was a pretty good week for girl power songs overall, and Kesha rocked our world with her latest single “Delusional”.
The absence of major music releases also opened the door for many indie artists to make it to our list, along with major names we’re all familiar with. Check it out, and get ready to discover some amazing new tracks by Chloe Slater, Disclosure, Pa Salieu, Charlotte Lawrence, Nicotine Dolls, Yuna, Snoop Dogg, Sting, and Polo G.

]]>This Friday marked the release of several great albums, and The Cure’s Songs of a Lost World is the best of them all. It produced two singles between hitting the shelves, but the remaining six songs are equally amazing, and we’re singling out “All I Ever Am” as an early favorite.
Tyler, the Creator made an unconventional decision and dropped his new album Chromakopia on Monday, instead of waiting until Friday. He made a splash with several songs from this record, including “Darling, I” ft. Teezo Touchdown.
When it comes to new singles released this week, none created more than The Weeknd’s latest. He tapped Anitta to appear in the eerie music video for “São Paulo”, the third single from his upcoming album Hurry Up Tomorrow.
The rest of our list of the best songs of the week includes something for everyone, so check it out to discover new music by Shawn Mendes, Ethel Cain, LCD Soundsystem, Snoop Dogg, and many more.

]]>The closing featured a mix of pre-taped and live performances, and its musical portion served as a symbolic handoff of the Summer Olympic Games from Paris to Los Angeles. It featured a mix of artists representing California, including Billie Eilish from Highland Park, Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre as representatives of West the Coast rap, and the Los Angeles natives the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Eilish was accompanied by Finneas while singing a breezy cover of her sleeper hit “Birds of a Feather”, as a part of the LA28 Handover Celebration. Snoop Dogg was joined by Dr. Dre while performing a medley of 2000s hits “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “The Next Episode”, while the Red Hot Chili Peppers gave us an epic rendition of “Can’t Stop”.
The list of performers also included H.E.R., who performed the United States national anthem as part of the handover, plus French singers Phoenix and Angèle, tuning in with live sets from Paris. In addition to several music performances, Tom Cruise made a special appearance and performed a stunt descending from the top of the Stade de France, as a nod to Los Angeles’ Hollywood connection.

]]>This year’s halftime show as a whole was a celebration of Dr. Dre and his impact on hip-hop in the past three decades. In addition to being featured as one of the performers, Dr. Dre wrote and produced many of the songs performed by other artists during the halftime show.
Mary J. Blige didn’t have a chance to fully unleash her power at the Super Bowl because the show featured additional four headliners, but her performance was still one of the night’s highlights. She rocked our world with amazing renditions of “Family Affair” and “No More Drama” and kept us asking for more.
Eminem makes a spectacle every time he hits the stage, and his Super Bowl performance was no different. The rapper’s powerful rendition of his smash hit “Lose Yourself” was the talk of the night, especially after he took the knee at the end of his performance.

]]>To bring this epic performance to life, NFL joined forces with Roc Nation and PepsiCo, and their senior VP of media, sports, and entertainment said they wanted to blow the roof off the concept of collaboration with this year’s performance.
“Along with the NFL and Roc Nation, we continue to try and push the limits on what fans can expect during the most exciting 12 minutes in music; this year’s superstar line-up is sure to deliver a mind-blowing performance,” said Harter in an official statement.
The five performers have won 43 Grammys between them, and their choice isn’t accidental. Super Bowl LVI will bring back NFL’s biggest night to the Los Angeles area for the first time in almost three decades. Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg are two of the faces of the West Coast hip-hop revolution, while Lamar is one of the biggest hip-hop pioneers of his generation and hails from Compton.
Super Bowl LVI is set to take place on February 13th, 2022 at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

]]>50 Cent recently did an interview with Big Boy in which he discussed various topics including the final season of his TV show Power, his plans for the future and revealed some interesting bits from his past. One of those bits was that he, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Dr. Dre were supposed to do a huge joint tour several years ago.
According to 50, everyone was on board, but Eminem decided to turn down the opportunity, wanting to spend more time with his daughter Hailie.
“We could’ve gone on tour. Me, Em, [Dr. Dre], [Snoop Dogg],” 50 Cent told Big Boy while discussing his relationship with Eminem. “You do not believe how much money we would’ve made. And Em was like—there was so many dates at the time that we laid it out—that he was like, ‘I just don’t want to go on tour and come back and Hailie’s grown.'”
You can watch the entire interview below. You’ll find the part about the tour around 30 minutes mark.
Besides working on numerous projects and business ventures, 50 Cent is also preparing a new studio album titled Street King Immortal. The record, which will be his first since 2014’s Animal Ambition, has been in works several years now but the release date is yet to be revealed.
