The music video for this track was directed by Mark Fiore and mostly consists of footage from studio sessions and live performances. Bennington is prominently featured in the video, and “Friendly Fire” is one of the last songs he recorded with Linkin Park.
This will be one of the tracks featured on Linkin Park’s upcoming greatest hits album Papercuts, set to hit the shelves on April 12. It will feature songs released between 2000 and 2023, and Mike Shinoda said it was a joy to curate the tracklist.
“Each song in this collection is both a singular moment on our timeline and an evolving story that is as much ours as it is yours. From our first release ‘One Step Closer’ to the brand-new ‘Friendly Fire’, this tracklist spans all our chapters so far,” said Shinoda in a statement.

When prompted to give more details about the chance of new music, Hahn admitted that it will probably quite a long way off.
“Maybe in about 10 years? (Laughs) It might be sooner,” he said. “I don’t want to set a deadline. We just want to focus on the present and talk about music. We aren’t discussing detailed plans. I just want to go back to those days when I made music in the warehouse.”
