]]>The video opens with Perry skydiving with her boyfriend, and singing “I’m his queen, I’m his freak/I’m every woman he wants and needs/I’m his dream, I’m his drug/I’m every woman he wants, so what?” before Doechii jumps in with her verse, “I’m his boss, I’m that bitch/I’m every woman he knows exists/I’m his main, I’m his side/I’m every woman that’s in his mind.”
The Torso-directed visual video is pretty action-packed, and it also sees Perry riding atop a silver Corvette in a metallic bikini and kissing her love interest in the middle of a busy street. In the meantime, Doechii is soaring through the air while grabbing onto a drone and showing off her dance skills throughout the video.
“I’m His, He’s Mine” is the third single from Perry’s upcoming studio album 143, set to hit the shelves on September 20. She promoted its release with singles “Woman’s World” and “Lifetimes”.

]]>After sharing several snippets of “Women’s World” on social media in recent weeks, she dropped the Charlotte Rutherford-directed visual on July 11. The singer wears Rosie the Riveter-inspired outfit throughout the video, drives a monster truck with Trisha Paytas, and tries to do a TikTok dance with a young woman before flying away on a helicopter.
“Women’s World” has been released as the lead single from Perry’s upcoming album 143 and she released an EP with several different versions of the song in an attempt to increase its chart success. This strategy doesn’t seem to be working after many critics described “Women’s World” as outdated and reductive, but Perry defended herself by describing it as satirical.
“Women’s World” set the stage for her upcoming album 143, and its title is inspired by her lucky number which stands as a code for “I love you.” She described it as a dance party that everyone’s invited to and announced it’s hitting the shelves on September 20 via Capitol Records.

]]>Perry’s comeback single “Woman’s World” is finally coming our way on July 11, and she’ll drop its music video just a day later. She teased its release by posing in a white mesh top and futuristic metal boots in the cover photo, and told her fans to “get ready to pop off”.
“Woman’s World” is expected to be featured on Perry’s next studio album, the follow-up to Smile, which came out in 2020 and produced singles “Never Really Over”, “Harleys in Hawaii”, “Daisies”, “Smile”, and “Not the End of the World”.
She previously described it as her happiest record yet and said it comes from a place of pure love and joy.
“I just have yet to make a record from a place of feeling really happy and whole and full of love. Sometimes artists are like, ‘Oh, that’s boring, you want to make music from kind of like a tougher place,’ but actually it’s very bright and joyful, like pure joy and fun and playful and celebratory,” she told Access Hollywood.

]]>Perry recently set down for an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, and they took a moment to discuss her future on American Idol. She shocked the audience by saying that the upcoming Season 22 will probably be her last alongside co-hosts Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie.
Making this decision wasn’t easy for Perry, who told Kimmel she loves The Idol “so much”, adding “It’s connected me with the heart of America but I feel like I need to feel that pulse to my own beat.”
Perry’s American Idol departure makes sense in the grand scheme of things because she has a lot of exciting plans for 2024. She’ll headline Rock in Rio in Brazil this fall, and she’s currently gearing up for the release of new music.
Perry joined American Idol in 2018 and stuck around for seven seasons, including the upcoming Season 22, set to premiere on February 12 on ABC. She’s open to coming back in the future, but her main goal for 2024 is to “see the world and maybe bring new music.”

]]>A source close to the singer discussed her future plans with The Sun and revealed that Perry is plotting a big comeback for next year. Her upcoming album will be her “most personal” yet and she’s planning to tour with this record by the end of 2024 if everything goes according to plan.
This announcement doesn’t come as a huge shocker, given the statement Perry herself shared during an interview on Good Morning America earlier this year. The pop superstar said she’s been writing a lot of new music that comes “from a place of love”, but added that taking care of her young daughter Daisy is still her priority.
Despite the fact she hasn’t released any new music this year, 2023 has been pretty eventful for Perry. She headlines her own Las Vegas residency Play, put on an amazing show during the Coronation Concert of Charles III, and sold her music catalog to Litmus Music for an estimated $225 million.

]]>Perry’s deal with Litmus includes the master recording royalties and music publishing rights to her five albums released by Universal Music Group’s Capitol Records: One Of The Boys (2008), Teenage Dream (2010), PRISM (2013), Witness (2017), and Smile (2020).
This is a smart move on Litmus’ side since Perry’s discography includes many smash hits that defined the 2010s. Teenage Dream alone produced five No. 1 singles – “California Gurls”, “Teenage Dream”, “Firework”, “E.T.”, and “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)”—becoming the first album by a woman in history with five chart-topping singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Litmus Music was founded in the summer of last year, and the company’s co-founder and CEO Hank Forsyth said they’re grateful to be working with Perry because her songs are “an essential part of the global cultural fabric” and her integrity shines in everything that she does.
Despite being one of the defining stars of the 2010s, Perry slowed her roll in recent years. It’s been three years since her last album Smile came out, and she’s mostly been focusing on her Las Vegas residency following its release.

]]>Perry recently set down for an interview with Good Morning America to discuss her ongoing Las Vegas residency and plans for the future. She already performed several legs of her Play residency since its launch in late 2021, and she’ll close it with a series of dates in October and November.
Perry also revealed that she’s been working on some new music in recent years, and revealed that she’s “written a lot from a place of love” after giving birth to her daughter Daisy Dove Bloom with the actor Orlando Bloom.
“I’m always writing, I have been, but I think what’s really important to me is to be celebrating the world that I’ve got to build with all of these wonderful songs and to be responsible for a life of a 3-year-old. I will be back, but let me get this right,” explained Perry.
Perry’s last studio album Smile came out in 2020, and it produced singles “Never Really Over”, “Harleys in Hawaii”, “Daisies”, “Smile”, and “Not the End of the World”.

These three albums are the crown jewels of Perry’s discography, and she’ll celebrate their big birthdays with the release of the Katy Perry CATalog Collector’s Edition box set.
“I don’t really believe in anniversaries, I don’t typically acknowledge them, but this was too good to be true this year. The math totally mathed. Those are monumental numbers and I figured we’d do something special with them,” said Perry on social media.
Katy Perry CATalog Collector’s Edition box set will be released on October 20, and it will feature limited edition versions of her first three albums, along with a seven-inch vinyl featuring unreleased songs “A Cup of Coffee” and “I Think I’m Ready”. Both songs were recorded for her breakout album One of the Boys, which produced her iconic singles “I Kissed a Girl” and “Hot & Cold”.

British pop group Take That will also grace the stage, with Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, and Mark Owen confirming their performance without Robbie Williams.
“This will be our first live show since the Odyssey Tour, four years ago in 2019, and what a stage to come back on! A huge live band and orchestra, a choir, military drummers, the backdrop of Windsor Castle and the celebration of a new King. We can’t wait,” said Take That in a statement.
The list of performers also includes Italian opera singer Andrea Bocelli, Welsh bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel, the English singer multi-instrumentalist Freya Ridings, and classical-soul composer-producer Alexis Ffrench. They’ll all perform at King Charles III’s coronation concert on May 7.

She later huddled up with fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan and reflected on what Swift and her could do after finally ending their well-known feud.
“Can you imagine, if Taylor and I worked together, what we could do?” she whispered.
The singers had a longstanding feud which they ended in 2019 when Perry had a surprise appearance in Swift’s video “You Need to Calm Down”. Back in May 2020, Perry hinted at the possibility of a collab, saying she was “always open” for the opportunity in the future.
