White hasn’t released any new music since 2022 when he put out a pair of studio albums, Fear of the Dawn and Entering Heaven Alive. The former record saw White stick to rock sound while he ventured into folk in the latter release. Both albums met with positive reviews from critics and made it to the Top 10 on the US Billboard 200 charts.
In late 2022 and early 2023, White kept himself busy with a tour that saw him play a number of shows across North America and Europe. Last year, White also returned to his The White Stripes era by releasing The White Stripes – Live In Las Vegas compilation album. The release featured the band’s performance at Las Vegas venues The Joint and the Hard Rock Casino in 2003 with a bonus track of “Ball and Biscuit” cover by Bob Dylan.

]]>The Raconteurs is the side project of multi-instrumentalist and frontman, Jack White. Speaking on a podcast from Third Man Records, Benson shared what it was like meeting Jack White for the first time. It was the late 1990s and when Benson was introduced to White, he was less than impressed.
“We were standing in a room and I was showing him all my stuff, you know, I was kind of showing off all my crap — guitars and amps,” Benson said. “He was smoking a cigarette and he looked around — for an ashtray, I guess, now — but he didn’t find one, so he kind of ashed on the table. I was just like… shocked.”
Benson also shared that White was a fussy eater at the time and managed to enter adulthood without ever trying a tomato.
He recalled: “I think he was picky… Because at the time, I think he wasn’t very health-conscious … I think he had his first tomato at my house.”

While there, three musicians record a track together in White’s home studio. Unfortunately, the video doesn’t contain a preview of the single, but it is at least encouraging to know that it is there.
“This is a legendary collab,” Black says about the song. “Everyone’s been waiting for it. Now it’s here.”

The Raconteurs were found in 2005 through Jack White and Brendan Benson’s frequent songwriting sessions. Jack Lawrence and Patrick Keeler joined in shortly after, and the band released their debut single “Steady, As She Goes,” which was well received by the audience.
Their first studio release came with 2006’s Broken Boy Soldiers, which ended up receiving praise from the critics and being nominated for Best Rock Album at the 49th Grammy Awards. Two years later, The Raconteurs released a follow-up, Consolers of the Lonely, to similar success.

The show in Seattle was part of Jack White’s ongoing tour across the United States in support of his third solo studio album Boarding House Reach. The record was met with polarizing reviews from the critics, with some calling it his best solo effort to date while others viewed it as a mediocre album. Despite this, Boarding House Reach performed commercially really well and topped the US Billboard 200 as well as Canadian album charts. It cracked the top 10 in four other countries.

Tickets for all four days of Lollapalooza 2018, as well as VIP and Platinum tickets, are available as of now.
Lollapalooza was founded by Farrell in 1991 as a farewell tour for his band Jane’s Addiction and has been held annually until 1997. The festival didn’t have just one location at the time and toured entire North America with a line-up consisted of alternative, rock, and rap performers. Lollapalooza was re-launched in 2005 with Chicago’s Grant Park as its mainstay location.
The festival also expanded beyond North America, with branches in Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, and France.

]]>Again, it is not the Jack White you would expect. The song is heavy on the riffs and squealing guitars but also toys with some unusual additions like bongos. “Corporation” is just another indicator that Boarding House Reach will be more experimental and will represent a new territory for White. Is this a good thing? We don’t know yet, but we do have our fair share of faith in him. You can check out the song below.
The interesting thing about the album is that White recorded it within six days. Initially, he intended to do it in just three days in a New York recording studio, surrounding himself with musicians from different backgrounds including people who played with Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Kendrick Lamar. Then, he took three more days in a studio in Los Angeles, this time with a different group of musicians, who also added their touch to the record. After those two sessions, White took upon himself to edit the tracks and add new elements.
Jack White will release his third solo album on March 23, 2018. He recently spoke about Boarding House Reach with the Rolling Stones and revealed that we should expect a modern record, fitting for 2018. “It almost hurt my feelings to condense some of those songs, but I wanted to make it relatable in 2018,” White said. “The entire record, to me, is incredibly modern. I wanted to take punk, hip-hop and rock & roll, and funnel it all into a 2018 time capsule.”

“The new album sees Jack White expanding his musical palate with perhaps his most ambitious work thus far, a collection of songs that are simultaneously timeless and modern.” said the press release of White’s. “Written and conceived while holed up in a spartan apartment with no outside distractions, Jack replicated the identical environment and used the same gear as when he was a 15-year-old (a quarter-inch four-track tape recorder, a simple mixer, and the most basic of instrumentation) to pen sketches of the album’s songs. The album explores a remarkable range of sonic terrain — crunching rock ‘n’ roll, electro and hard funk, proto-punk, hip-hop, gospel blues, and even country — all remapped and born anew to fit White’s matchless vision and sense of restless experimentation. BOARDING HOUSE REACH is a testament to the breadth of Jack White’s creative power and his bold artistic ambition.”
White also announced upcoming shows that he will play in support of the album including Atlanta, GA’s Shaky Knees Music Festival, Boston Calling, and the Governor’s Ball Music Festival in New York. Additional dates will be revealed in the upcoming weeks.
