It thus became Roan’s first song from The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess to enter the top five and third overall, after “Good Luck, Babe!” and “The Giver”.
“Pink Pony Club” was initially released in 2020, and later made its way to Roan’s debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess from 2023. It became a sleeper hit in the wake of Roan’s rising popularity, especially after she delivered memorable performances during her appearances on Saturday Night Live and the 2025 Grammy Awards.
As for the rest of the Billboard Hot 100 for this week, Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s “Luther” returned to the top spot for its sixth total and consecutive week. It’s followed by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With a Smile” at No. 2, Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” at No. 3, and Morgan Wallen’s “Just in Case” debuting at No. 4.

]]>Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars dropped “Die With a Smile” back in August and released several different versions in an attempt to help it reach No. 1. After facing tough competition, especially during the holiday season, they spent four consecutive weeks at the runner-up spot before climbing to No. 1.
“Die With a Smile” accumulated 59.7 million radio airplay audience impressions, 27.1 million official streams, and 6,000 in sales during its latest week on the chart. It’s Mars’ ninth song to Hit No. 1 and Gaga’s sixth, helping her become the third artist to achieve multiple No. 1s in three different decades following Janet Jackson and Michael Jackson.
Before finally climbing to No. 1 in the US, “Die With a Smile” found enormous success worldwide. It spent eight weeks atop the Billboard Global 200 chart, becoming the second longest-reigning song of 2024 behind another Mars collaboration, “Apt.” with Rosé. It’s currently in the running for two Grammy Awards – song of the year and best pop duo/group performance.

]]>Holiday songs occupy nine out of ten spots in the top ten on the Hot 100 chart this week, with “Die with a Smile” by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars being the only exception. Mariah Carey returned to No. 1 with “All I Want for Christmas Is You” for its 17th week on top, which set a new record for the longest-running chart-topping single of her career.
This week also marked the arrival of two modern holiday hits to the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Ariana Grande hit No. 9 with “Santa Tell Me”, over a decade after it was released as a bonus track on her holiday EP Christmas Kisses. She’s followed by Kelly Clarkson, who made it to No. 10 with “Underneath the Tree”, her first song to soar this high since “Piece by Piece” hit No. 8 in 2016.
These are the only holiday songs released during the 21st century to enter the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The record for the most recently released seasonal song to reach the top ten had previously been held by Kenny G’s take on “Auld Lang Syne,” released in 1999.

]]>“All I Want For Christmas” was released all the way back in 1994, as a part of Carey’s holiday album Merry Christmas, and it’s still ruling the charts three decades later. It experienced a true boom in the streaming era and topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time in 2019 before returning to the top every holiday season since.
This marks the 15th week that “All I Want For Christmas” spent atop the Hot 100 chart, and it made history as the first song to top the Hot 100 in six distinct years. It also helped Carey place at No. 1 in a record-extending 20 distinct years, in addition to extending her record for most weeks at No. 1 to 94.
“All I Want For Christmas” isn’t the only holiday classic to make it to the top ten on the Hot 100 chart this week. Holiday songs occupied half of the top ten, with Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” and Wham!’s “Last Christmas” coming right behind Carey.

It’s also the first song to ever go to the top ten on all four Billboard radio charts: Country Airplay, Pop Airplay, Adult Pop Airplay, and Rhythmic Airplay, reaching crossover success. Shaboozey is also the first male Black artist to top the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs chart, and second overall to achieve this feat following Beyoncé with “Texas Hold ‘Em”.
